Was genau meine Aufgabe sein wird, hängt von der politischen und organisatorischen Situation vor Ort ab und dazu schreibe ich gern bald mehr. Aber hier sind die Organisationen, die im Spiel sind und die schon mal einen guten Eindruck davon geben, um was es sich handelt:
Mit dem Seehaus in Leonberg bin ich seit über 10 Jahren verbunden und seit kurzem wieder ehrenamtlich dabei. Darüber habe ich erst von der Stelle erfahren. Infos zum Seehaus, einem Jugendstrafvollzug in freien Formen, gibt's hier. Super Projekt!!
Prison Fellowship ist ein Zusammenschluss nationaler Mitgliedsorganisationen, zu dem auch das Seehaus gehört. PF hilft Gefangenen, ehemals Gefangenen, Opfern von Kriminalität und ihren Familien und PF Kolumbien hat auch das Projekt in Medellín ins Leben gerufen, für das ich mich interessiere. Die Mitarbeite dort sind meine Ansprechpartner vor Ort und zukünftige Freunde ;) Mehr dazu hier und in Kürze auch auf der Website.
cfi ist eine Teil der Missionsorganisation Gottes Liebe weltweit, die Fachkräfte (wie Handwerksmeister) ins Ausland entsendet, um praktische Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe zu leisten und mit ihrem Leben zu zeigen, was göttliche Liebe aussehen kann. Das wäre mein Arbeitgeber in Deutschland, bei dem ich offiziell als Entwicklungshelfer angestellt wäre. Mehr Infos dazu hier.
What exactly my job will be depends on the local political and structural situation and I will write more about it soon. But these are the organisations involved and they already give a good impression of what the Medellín project is about:
Seehaus has long been a project I fully support and admire and since a couple of months I am involved again as a volunteer helper. That's also how I heard about the job in Medellín. Prison Fellowship is a union of national member organisations (Seehaus being the German one), that helps prisoners, former inmates, victims of crime and their families. PF Colombia is running the project in Bellavista that I am interested in and my local contact people (and future friends ;). More info here and soon the the website, too.
cfi is a German mission organisation consisting of three parts, one of them employing specialists in different professions (such as pastry making) and sending them as development workers abroad. That would be my German employer, if I decide to move to Colombia next year. For more information (only in German), click here.
